REV ON CNC LATHES
REV centesimal centralisers are instruments that are fine-tuned by our technicians to resolve, as efficiently as possible, issues with perfect tool positioning compared to the workpiece to be machined.
The video below demonstrates how to assemble a REV centesimal centraliser on the self-centring spindle, as well as how it operates. The steps to take are as follows:
1. Once the centraliser is secured on the self-centring device, proceed with centraliser timing using a comparator. The centesimal centraliser has a milled wall that is used as a reference for perfect positioning.
2. At this point, tighten the snib all the way to one of the self-centring spindle clamps. This operation will serve for future centesimal centraliser use. In fact, simply turning the centraliser and resting the snib on the reference clamp is enough for perfect centring and you will not need to use the comparator on a reference surface.
3. The operator must then have the tool reach the measurement position in z. As shown in the video, the centesimal centraliser will carry out two readings contrasted at 180°. It is very important to remember that detected reading errors must be divided in half.
Reading error=0.1 mm
Axis shift=0.05 mm
